Captured directly from rusted industrial debris and discarded metal surfaces shaped by time, weather, and use, this work is printed on ChromaLuxe® HD aluminum. The metal surface reinforces the relationship between the photographed subject and the finished object, allowing corrosion, color, and material decay to remain central to the work. Archival dye-sublimation ensures lasting vibrancy and durability. Each piece includes a floating frame mount for a clean, frameless display and is hand-inspected, signed, and numbered by the artist.
About the Series
They’re Always Watching Me
Across overlooked urban and industrial surfaces, damage, weathering, use, and accumulated marks produce recurring eyes, faces, and watchers. What first appears as abstraction gradually becomes an encounter with non-human identities embedded within the material. The images are discovered rather than constructed through close observation and photographic framing.
Extending Spiritography beyond abandoned vehicles, the series locates these presences throughout the contemporary built environment. Discarded and altered surfaces become sites of encounter, where residue, erosion, and human use accumulate into forms that appear to look back. The series approaches surveillance not as a technological system, but as a perceptual condition: the unsettling possibility that the overlooked world is also observing us.
