About the Series They’re Always Watching Me Across overlooked urban and industrial surfaces, damage, weathering, use, and accumulated marks produce recurring eyes, faces, and watchers. What first appears as abstraction gradually becomes an encounter with non-human identities embedded within the material. The images are discovered rather than constructed through close observation and photographic framing.
Extending Spiritography beyond abandoned vehicles, the series locates these presences throughout the contemporary built environment. Discarded and altered surfaces become sites of encounter, where residue, erosion, and human use accumulate into forms that appear to look back. The series approaches surveillance not as a technological system, but as a perceptual condition: the unsettling possibility that the overlooked world is also observing us.
